It's basically a giant wing, attached to two vessels and dragged on the ocean top, trapping floating plastic waste. With a depth of 4 meters and length of 2500 meters.
On voiced concerns about trapping fish and other living organisms inside the net, The Ocean Cleanup responded with this:
