Stranger Things stans are trying to 'cancel' Metallica

So, Metallica's 36 year old hit 'Master of Puppets' appearing in Stranger Things' season 4 finale did not only boost the song in The U.K. Top 40 weekly charts

but seems to have sparked some curiosity in our fellow Gen-Z Stranger Things viewers, who decided to dig up a little into the band's past.

One TikTok account in particular, called 'serenatrueblood', who runs a series called 'Is Your Fav Problematic' uploaded a TikTok video with the title:

'I find it interesting that they only cared about gatekeeping in their fandom when they started getting big again from Stranger Things. They only care about what lines their pockets'. 

In the video, 'serenatrueblood' goes on to point out a number of controversial things that members of the band have done and said in the past. She also highlights video footage in which she suggests they ridiculed Layne Staley’s heroin addiction and Kurt Cobain’s death just days after his passing. At the time of writing this, her TikTok video has over 470k views and 40k likes.
