Jake Paul announced in a twitter video that he turned down $40 Million from a crypto casino company which name he did not disclose. Most of us, who watch Twitch are already familiar with these online gambling sites in which people gamble with cryptocurrency instead of real money.
Big names on Twitch, like xQc, trainwreckstv and ROSHTEIN are some of the well known streamers to have gambled huge amounts of money on a crypto gambling website called Stake. How huge? Well most likely more money than all of our readers' grandma's savings combined.
Roobet was also a website on which a lot of streamers (one of them SteveWillDoIt, from NELK) used to gamble, that was until the website faced public backlash after alleged 'human trafficking' and 'money laundering'.
But Jake Paul did not decide to make yet another crypto gamba website. What he and Joey Levy (Co-Founder of Simplebet) decided to make is a 'direct-to-consumer' Sports 'micro-betting' app.
What is 'micro-betting'? Answered by Jake himself:
" Our app allows you to bet on every single play, score, drive and player in real time. "

About Betr:
Betr is the first direct-to-consumer company, which main focus is on micro-betting. Betr has two branches: 'Sports Media Content Factory' and 'Sports Betting and Online Casino'. The company is based in Miami. Earlier this year, Betr closed a $30 Million Series A led by Florida Funders. Recently, it raised an additional $20 Million Series A1 led by Aliya Capital Partners and Fuel Venture Capital that is scheduled to close this quarter.
Big names like Travis Scott, Ezekiel Elliott, Dez Bryant, Richard Sherman, DeSean Jackson and others have also contributed to Betr's early funding.
Jake Paul is also launching his own weekly Sports show called 'BS with Jake Paul':
" | Not only will we be 'bullshitting', but we will be going in depth into the athlete's mind. Into their life. Into what makes them tick. Why are they the way they are? What drives them? What are they thinking of when the going gets tough in their sport? What makes them want to be the best? |
