Hey there! We've got some exciting news to share, but first, our founder has a few words to say:
"The more I've tapped into learning how to code, by using forums, AI tools and an abundance of google searches, the more solutions i've been able to create for my self, and others.
One thing that bugged me for a long time on YouTube was - why on mobile I can fast forward by double tapping on screen, but on PC I have to use the left and right keys on the keyboard? I know that you can just scrub through the progress bar at the bottom of the video, but try that on an hour long video, when you just want to skip like 10-20 seconds.
I use a wireless mouse, and sometimes watch videos on my bed, so I'm just lying there trying to scrub through an hour long video from a distance, which is not quite a pleasant experience. Even on shorter videos, having to hold my mouse over to preview the video and see where I'll land just to skip a 30s to 1min ad is just too much of a hassle, when I can just skip through the video 10 seconds at a time until its over.
That's when I thought - well you can teach yourself anything nowadays with all the information available online, why not just make me an extension that allows me to insert fast-forward/backward buttons right on the video?"
And that's how the idea for an Extensions page on repuddle was born. On that page, we'll be sharing solutions for the minor inconveniences we encounter in our life, with the hope of solving them for our readers along the way. Click on the banner below to visit the page:
